Three Decades of Harmony: Twilite Chorus Returns to the Stage with Cinematic Flair and National Pride

Jakarta, October 1, 2025 — Marking three decades of contribution to Indonesia’s symphonic and choral music landscape, Twilite Chorus will headline a special concert titled the Twilite Chorus 30th Anniversary Concert. The event, presented by Adinda Bakrie Foundation and supported by PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 16:00 WIB in Aula Simfonia Jakarta, Kemayoran.

Founded on May 28, 1995, by Addie MS and Alex Frits of Twilite Orchestra, alongside Aida Swenson and Yoseph Suryadi, Twilite Chorus was created to elevate public appreciation for choral music and support orchestral performances. Over the years, the ensemble has performed at landmark events including Simfoni Kemerdekaan (1995), Indonesia – A Touch of Harmony at Sydney Opera House (2009), and Enchanting Harmony in Slovakia and Germany (2012).

The anniversary concert will feature over 200 choir members performing alongside 70 musicians from Twilite Orchestra. Collaborating choirs include Perbanas Institute Choir, PSM IPB Agria Swara, and PSM Universitas Mercu Buana. Soloist Antea Putri Turk—descendant of Wage Rudolf Supratman’s sibling—will perform “Tanah Airku” by Ibu Sud.

The repertoire spans classical, national, regional, and popular works, including:

  • “Bangun Pemudi Pemuda” (Alfred Simandjuntak)
  • “Janger” (Balinese folk song)
  • “We Are The Champions” (Queen)
  • “Elegy” (Addie MS)
  • “Somewhere in My Memory” (John Williams)
  • “March of the Toreadors” from Carmen (Georges Bizet)
  • “Triumphal March” from Aida (Giuseppe Verdi)

Adinda Bakrie, founder of Adinda Bakrie Foundation, emphasized the concert’s role in inspiring youth to embrace symphonic music. Liliawati Rahardjo, Commissioner of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, noted the alignment between Twilite Chorus’s 30-year journey and Summarecon’s own 50-year milestone, underscoring a shared commitment to cultural development.

Tickets are available via TipTip starting October 1, 2025. The concert is expected to draw audiences from across generations, celebrating Twilite Chorus’s enduring impact on Indonesia’s musical heritage.
