Video Games Concert Volume II: Addie MS Shines as “Excellent Host” in a Night of Musical Brilliance and Guest Star Magic

Last Saturday night marked a historic moment not only for music lovers, but also for gamers and K-Pop fans, as the highly anticipated Video Games Concert Volume II lit up the Tennis Indoor Stadium in Senayan (Saturday, February 22).

Spearheaded by Indonesia’s renowned composer Addie MS, this second installment—following its debut in early 2024—featured 70 ensemble musicians from Twilite Orchestra and 250 choir members from Perbanas Institute Choir, PS Gita Swara Jaya, PSM Universitas Mercu Buana, PSM UHAMKA, and PSM UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

TipTip, the comprehensive entertainment platform, played a pivotal role in orchestrating the event’s success. From ticketing and logistics to technical coordination and stage production, TipTip ensured the concert wasn’t just unforgettable—it was flawlessly executed. Their close collaboration with Twilite Orchestra helped elevate every detail, from sound and lighting to the seamless integration of 70 orchestra players and 250 choir singers.

A Night Where Music Meets Gaming

The evening’s musical glamour served as the perfect host to a lineup of guest stars who delivered iconic video game themes with stunning artistry.

The concert opened with a powerful performance by the all-girls K-Pop band Kandis, who delivered “Legends Never Die” from League of Legends—a game with over 3.5 million players in Indonesia. As the lights dimmed and the first notes rang out, the stadium fell into a hushed awe, ushering the audience into an unforgettable audio-visual journey.

Following Kandis’ electrifying opening, Addie MS took the stage to greet the audience and introduce Twilite Orchestra and Twilite Choirs. Together, they performed three iconic themes from Final Fantasy VIII, The Legend of Zelda, and Suikoden II. The momentum continued with YouTube sensation Meutia Amanda, who delivered emotionally rich renditions of “Melodies of Life” from Final Fantasy IX and “The Edge of Dawn (Seasons of Warfare)” from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Family Spotlight: Tristan & Kevin’s Gaming Tribute

The night also featured two very special guest performers—Addie MS’s sons, Tristan Juliano and Kevin Aprilio. Their childhood love of video games was the very inspiration behind Addie MS’s vision for this concert series. The audience erupted in applause as the brothers shared a piano to perform “Pokémon Trainer Battle!”, preceded by a heartfelt story about their gaming memories growing up.

The concert reached its crescendo with the fiery orchestral metal of “One-Winged Angel” from Final Fantasy VII. The synergy between orchestra and guest performers was palpable, each segment building toward a cohesive and mesmerizing musical journey. It was a masterful blend of classical and contemporary sounds that resonated across generations.
